Looking forward to 2019 in Cookbooks

While the new book smell has yet to disseminate on this year’s cookbook crop, I’ve been looking forward. At first blush, 2019 appears to be another epic year for cookbook lovers. The New Pie (Chris Taylor and Paul Arguin), Joanne Chang, Andy Ricker, Sean Brock, Maida Heatter, Lidia Bastianich, Tartine, Madhur Jaffrey and legions of others are among the offerings for the coming year. For those still relishing this year’s titles (as am I), our Best of the Best 2018 rankings have been finalized as well as our Best Cookbooks by the Experts and Best Selling Cookbooks of 2018.

This outline will provide a guide for your cookbook planning. Our calendar is continually updated with author, bookstore and cooking school events.

Of course, titles, covers and publication dates may change but I will diligently keep this post updated including the addition of other releases. As usual, each month I will provide a preview with more details for each book. If you need me, I’ll be off buying more bookshelves.

I'm really looking forward to Tokyo Stories, because I LOVE Japaneasy. Also Baan by Kay Plunkett-Hogge is coming out in April and that looks just wonderful.

Foodycat – I have Baan to add today along with about a dozen others that need manual input – looks great.

Seen anything interesting? Let us know & we'll share it!
