Love and Lemons Every Day – Giveaway

Title:  Love and Lemons Every Day: More Than 100 Bright, Plant-Forward Recipes for Every Meal Author:   Jeanine Donofrio About the author: Jeanine worked as a graphic designer for ten years before finding her true calling in food and food photography. Besides her popular blog, Love and Lemons, she has contributed to many media outlets, her debut cookbook, The Love and Lemons Cookbook was a wild success, and she published a meal planner last year!     What’s to love:
  • Jeanine’s dishes celebrate plant-forward ingredients. They are as beautiful as they are delicious.
  • I could repeat here all the amazing things about this title but Jeanine does it best on her site.
  • Try this recipe now: Sweet corn & blueberry arugula salad

I see no difference between the new format for giveaways and the old format. This seems to be exactly the same as always. You can't make a second comment without hitting the back button.

    Lemon cornmeal pancakes!

  • lpatterson412  on  June 22, 2019

I have found the giveaway winner's form confusing and not very helpful, it seems like a good idea, but it is hard to navigate and I can never locate anything very easily. I am VERY glad you still email winners otherwise I would be lost! But again, it has potential, and if the page was easier to find, navigate and view winners from, it could be great! I do not think you could do away with not sending any emails though. I know that probably doesn't help you trying to save time.

I'm not sure what has changed about the giveaway format … it could be easier to navigate to the index and to the comment form. I do love it when I win a book!

  • Jenny  on  June 23, 2019

The question is: do members enjoy the new blog post format – i.e., Title: Author: Things to Love instead of the narrative form. The question has nothing to do with Rafflecopter. We cannot change Rafflecopter. It is the easiest and fairest way to run contests.

Perhaps before you sign in to Rafflecopter take a look at the index and have your answer ready – see if that helps? And go through the Rafflecopter steps and then come back to the blog post and leave a comment? So you don't have to bounce around?

I like the new format since it's easier to read at-a-glance. Much depends on the What's to Love bullets; in this case, it's helpful to know that plant-forward recipes are featured and that a link to more info is included. And of course, a sample recipe is always welcome!

New format works for me. Very honest feedback: I'd say the downside with either format is that they don't appear to be unbiased reviews (which is fine, I get it), so I'm not going to be swayed much whether it's long form or short form.

I like the new format. I think it helps to read some concise information about the author, their backgrounds, and the quick link to the book. I also appreciate your "what's to like" addition. You (and I) see zillions of cookbooks, so it's nice to see what differentiates the books and what makes them stand out to you since I value your input.

  • RSW  on  June 30, 2019

    I like the new format.
Prefer a "why you might want this book" synopsis or " what makes this book different and why you might NEED this book to add to the hundreds you have already" synopsis. (Might have been less confusing if you did 2 posts in one – the old and new for comparison.)

  • FrenchCreekBaker  on  July 3, 2019

Old format had more information and was more persuasive. New format too little detail to convince me to consider purchase. Try combing the two formats, somewhat shortening review and ending with bullets.
