This week: Baking classes, author events, recipes, EYBD Previews and more
October 14, 2022 by JennyThe October cookbook review is sapping all my time along with managing the indexing of books and working on loads of future promotions for our Members. Accordingly, this week’s roundup will be short and sweet. As I was creating the outline for the cookbook review – I updated our Calendar. Recently added events include those for: Erin Jeanne McDowell; Naomi Duguid; Yotam Ottolenghi & Noor Murad (US); Claire Saffitz; Jon Gray, Pierre Serrao, Lester Walker, and Osayi Endolyn the authors of – Ghetto Gastro Black Power Kitchen ; Mary Ann Esposito; and Phil Rosenthal.
Rick Rodgers’ online baking class schedule has been updated. Be sure to check out his entire listing of classes and most importantly those scheduled in December with special guests Rose Levy Beranbaum and Michelle Polzine. The link to register for the classes can be found here (and in the details section of the calendar). Rose’s new book The Cookie Bible is four days away from publication and she has events scheduled to celebrate this title. During this tour, she will be covering her cookbook Rose’s Ice Cream Bliss as she wasn’t able to in 2020 due to COVID.
A reminder that Bonnie Slotnick Cookbooks has an event this Saturday.
Lastly, Penzey’s Spices is having a great sale. Add the code “GOOD” to your cart and the Love is Good kit of spices will be added to your cart for free (you just have to spend $5). Also, they are offering two spices for $1.00 each (see purple OFFERS button – pie spice and mural of flavor – the 1/4 cup jars – add to your cart and will be $1 each (up to 3 of each available). I bought some extra for gifts.
