The last two weeks: Looking forward to new releases, author events, EYBD cookbook previews, giveaways, recipes and more
July 8, 2022 by JennyI am still working on my Fall/Autumn preview – more pdfs are arriving daily and I promise to have it ready for you next week. For a sneak peek: Claudia Fleming’s Delectable: Sweet & Savory Baking is everything and more that one would expect from the author of the iconic The Last Course: The Desserts of Gramercy Tavern; Claire Saffitz’ second dessert cookbook is outstanding (I jokingly told the publicist that I needed to take a cold shower after I saw the pdf; see our EYBD preview below); Chicano Bakes by Esteban Castillo; Homage: Recipes and Stories from an Amish Soul Food Kitchen by Chris Scott; Modern Asian Baking at Home by Kat Lieu (Events); Persiana Everyday by Sabrina Ghayour; Good & Sweet by Brian Levy (Events); The Red Truck Bakery Farmhouse Cookbook by Brian Noyes (Events); and Expressions: Art in Pastry by Julie Jones – all are so amazing beautiful and inspirational – you will weep with cookbook joy.
And we must not forget The Cookie Bible by Rose Levy Beranbaum (see the peek inside from last year before the shipment was delayed). We have waited over a year for this gem! I’ll have much more for you in the big preview post.
A couple of new events – Dorie Greenspan will be interviewing Paul Hollywood on July 20th at the 92nd Street Y and will also be at Malai in Brooklyn on July 28th/29th. (Fany Gerson will be at Malai on July 21st and 22nd.) Paul Hollywood has a book tour in the UK beginning this October. A reminder that Jessie Sheehan will be at the Union Greenmarket in NYC this Saturday, July 9th. Events have been added for Nicole A. Taylor. Lastly, Carla Hall will be at Magnolia Sunset Markets in Jackson MS on July 16th and 17th.
Next week, July 12th through the 13th is Prime Day. Please remember Eat Your Books should you do any Prime Day shopping (or any time you shop Amazon). Using our affiliate links set out below earns us a commission which enables us to index more books. We will update the cookbook deals post as we learn of new Prime deals. Our affiliate links can also be found on our home page in the lower right sidebar.
As always, we appreciate your support.
