This week: Cookbook news, EYB features, GBBO recaps, online classes, recipes and more
October 9, 2021 by JennyEarlier this week several social media sites were down for roughly five hours inspiring Darcie to write Things to do when Facebook and Instagram are down. This post was a good reminder of some of EYB’s features both old and new. How to Make EYB work better for you is another great reference for our members. Even after working for EYB for almost six years I sometimes forget certain of the amazing things EYB can do. Our help pages are available and share many tutorials.
A member recently commented on a GBBO recap that they had a hard time finding that particular post. The “Search this Blog” option on the blog page is the easy answer to that dilemma. Just enter your search words: for example if I want to pull up our posts regarding Le Creuset – type in Le Creuset – and hit “Go”. Every post with that word (or phrase) will come up.
Some general cookbook news: Rose Levy Beranbaum’s The Cookie Bible will be published on Oct 4th, 2022 instead of next month. Issues with printing and shipping have resulted in a delay that would not have the book out in time for holiday baking. Other titles are meeting similar fates. Today, I updated publication dates on over a dozen October releases which had changed over the last week to dates in November and beyond. Our 2021 preview post is current with these edits.
I’ve been working on some fantastic promotions to share over the next two months. We will have a giveaway for a set of Modernist Pizza along with a J.K. Adams cutting board; Dorie’s gorgeous new book with an Emile Henry tarte tatin pan; Upper Crust with an Emile Henry Epi Bread – Wheat Stalk Baguette Baker; David Chang’s new book with Smithey’s new carbon steel wok; and several more cookbooks paired with beautiful cookware and bakeware products. So stay tuned!
