This week at Eat Your Books!
November 2, 2019 by JennySince our last roundup, Darcie has written about a number of interesting topics: rekindling childhood food loves, the launching of a Food Network app, her latest spice support covered curry leaves (#spicesupport will bring up all these articles) and filled us in on Rocco Dispirito’s rollercoaster career. Darcie’s weekly food news antipasto is shared every Sunday (#foodnews brings up these information-packed posts). Our monthly newsletter went out earlier this week so check your inboxes.
As usual last Saturday, I posted my recap of Patisserie Semi-Final Week on The Great British Bake Off. Look for the final recap for this year this weekend! Season two of The Great British Bake Off – Holidays airs on November 8th in the US on Netflix. Last year Netflix aired two episodes of the four that were seen in the UK. I believe I watched both of those episodes six times over the holidays. These shows will bring back the spirit of GBBO and Christmas past.
This week I wrote about making a dish that had been long on my must-do list: Focaccia di Recco. Try it over the holidays – so delicious and easy! Our October Cookbook Review has a special giveaway for you to enter before November 10th! Recently, I was a guest on the Cookbook Love podcast where I spoke about fall/autumn books – take a listen when you have a moment. Lastly, be sure to check out all our giveaways (many have been added since last week) and also our calendar of cookbook author, bookstores and cooking classes has been recently updated.
