Cookbook Giveaway – Red, White, and ‘Que

Red, White, and ‘Que: Farm-Fresh Foods for the American Grill by Karen Adler and Judith Fertig is the new title from the authors of The Gardener and the Grill. The team is backyard grilling like never before, with an emphasis on the fruits and vegetables usually neglected in favor of steak or barbecued chicken. Each recipe makes the most of seasonal American ingredients and flavors like bourbon, bacon, blackberries, country ham, maple syrup, pomegranates, craft beer, pecans, and sweet onions.

    Hard decisions! Ember-roasted Brussels sprouts with browned butter vinaigrette because it sounds like a different technique, or Piquillo pepper–stuffed chicken breasts with green olive tapenade, which just sounds delicious, or Blistered shishito peppers on grilled bread with ricotta.

    mmm, i am so in the mood for a barbecue…grilled baby artichokes, blackened okra, wood-grilled oysters, cajun grilled shrimp, grilled fruit sangria, smoked garlic and lime ajo, chargrilled tomato and red pepper soup, planked salmon with smoky orange, baby veggies and microgreens with charred lime, grilled green tomatoes, ember-roasted eggplant with garlic and lemon, smoke-roasted root vegetables with garlic and thyme, grilled grape bunches, grilled peaches, grilled persimmons..i love smoky grill flavor!
