  I didn't realize pumpkin was featured in Burmese cooking (as it is in Afghan cooking), so I'd probably try one of the pumpkin recipes first. And then ginger juice. Can't wait to try this restaurant next time I'm in San Fran.

  My husband and I spent 3 weeks in Burma 2 years ago, after returning we had to the restaurant. It's fabulous! I'd start with Pumpkin tofu curry!

  Simple Fish Curry. I love curry so immediately I was drawn to this recipe plus I don't like too much ingredients in my curry. This recipe is just right.

  Samusa Soup! I first had it there about 15 years ago and I remember I went online as soon as I got home and looked desperately for the recipe. The next time I went they told me I couldn't find a recipe for it because it had been invented in-house. I've since happily enjoyed it there for 15 years.

  oh god. egg and okra curry, tomato shrimp curry, corn with dried onion, spicy eggplant, garlic chili shrimp, home-style shrimp kebat, garlic noodles, mohinga, green mango salad (of course), semolina cake…i know this is too many. but southeast asian food, man.
