Cookie tins from Diaspora, recipes, EYBD Previews and more
June 16, 2023 by JennyA few months back our friends at Diaspora Co. had a special event in New York featuring a gorgeous tin filled with tempting cookies. Those tins sold out quickly. This week you can preorder one of these tins for delivery in March 2024 by clicking here. (The preorder for this holiday season has sold out).
Not only is the hand-painted tin stunning but the five signature cookies were specially created by Laurie Ellen Pellicano – a New York-based baker, food stylist, consultant, and writer – using the delicious spices from Diaspora. If you preorder now then in March of 2024 you will receive the tin plus three each of the following cookies: Milky Moringa, Salted Chocolate, Saffron Honey, Crunchy Millet Rusk and Sumac Hibiscus Cranberry. The brilliant Sana Javeri Kadri of Diaspora received a Them NOW Award for her work in New York on June 14th. Them’s annual Now Awards honor 12 LGBTQ+ people across 12 categories who represent the cutting edge of queer culture today. Check out this feature at Cup of Jo on Sana and her beautiful home – she gave Eat Your Books a shout out! Lastly, we are thrilled that Sana has a cookbook in the works and we will keep you posted on those details.
