This week: Holiday events, recipes, giveaways and more

How did it get to be December already? I am not ready for this year to be winding down. Where is the pause button?

This roundup will share some calendar highlights specifically with regard to the holidays and news from the last few weeks.

A reminder that Procrastibaking Podcast has invited our Members to join them on December 11th at 3:00 EST for a Christmas Party. They have invited me to speak about EYB and also discuss a few of my favorite Christmas cookbooks. You may register to attend here. The event will be via Zoom and a link will be sent to join the day before. Special guests include Rose Levy Beranbaum and Paul Arguin and Chris Taylor.

I have updated our Calendar and wish to draw attention to the following events:

• December 15th Waterstones is having A Festive Feast of Cookbooks and Festive Evening Shopping Event at Exeter – Roman Gate. The Exploding Bakery will be providing brownies and authors including Gill Meller and Mark Diacono will be in attendance.
• December 15th – Topping and Company in Bath is hosting a Festive Bookshop Evening with Mulled Wine and Mince Pies.
• December 7th – Borough Market has an event to help you prepare for the holidays.
• Deb Perelman’s events include new dates (I will be assisting Deb at her event at Tattered Book in Denver on the 13th – her event is sold out but she will be autographing books that will be available on the 14th);
• December 2-4th – Politics and Prose (Washington DC) is hosting it’s annual winter members’ sale.
• December 7th – Book Larder (Seattle WA) has a Zoom event planned on Random House: Holiday House.
• December 8th – Rizzoli’s Book Store (NYC) has a holiday party planned with authors in attendance signing their books.
• Bold Fork Books (Washington DC) has several holiday events planned.
• 2023 events: James Martin has posted his UK Live 2023 tour; and a reminder that Ottolenghi’s Australia/New Zealand tour will start in January.

I am wrapping up my 2022 Best Books/Gift Guide and will have it posted by Monday. Be sure to look for it – as it will share a lovely giveaway as well.
