Theo Randall is a British-born chef who specializes in Italian cuisine. He is currently the proprietor of Theo Randall at the InterContinental Hotel London Park Lane which is reopening on May 18th after COVID restrictions. He is perhaps best known for being awarded a Michelin star at The River Café in London. He has written two cookbooks prior to The Italian Deli Cookbook and both are happily in my library: Pasta and My Simple Italian.
His latest, The Italian Deli Cookbook, showcases delicious family recipes using favorite ingredients from, you guessed it, the Italian deli. Most of these ingredients are easily accessible in supermarkets now too. The book is organized by these ingredients: Eggs, Cheese, Salumi and so forth.
Randall promises it is worth splurging for these transformative ingredients which can make for easy meals or dinner party centerpieces. This same type of advice is often doled out by many chefs including Ina Garten. Basically, it is take quality help where you can get it.
