The last two weeks: Holiday cookbooks, shopping deals, gift guides, cookbook and product giveaways, EYBD Previews & more

We skipped last week’s roundup as the monthly newsletter was going out around the same time and we try to respect your inboxes. While many of us in the US are still recovering from turkey comas, the last thing we want to read about today is more recipes! Instead, I’ll share a short roundup of some special holiday-themed cookbooks that I’ve been enjoying this season.

• Reindeer Food: 85 Festive Sweets and Treats to Make a Magical Christmas by Cayla Gallagher is absolutely adorable and even this seasoned cookbook collector – who is in love with books such as Baking at the 20th Century Cafe – is smitten with this book!
• A Literary Holiday Feast: Festive Meals for the Snow Queen, Gandalf, Sherlock, Scrooge, and Book Lovers Everywhere by Alison Walsh really amazed me. The stories, the recipes, the photographs – a perfect book to cuddle by the fire with, and now I must have her earlier title, A Literary Afternoon Tea (just indexed by an EYB member).
• The Official Downton Abbey Christmas Cookbook by Regula Ysewijn is everything you would think Regula would create. It is charming and filled with recipes and a dose of Downton that will lift our spirits.
• Melissa Forti’s Christmas Baking Book by Melissa Forti is a dreamy title filled with glorious bakes and imagery that will awaken the baker that lives in all of us. With recipes that include wonderful narrative such as Christmas Pavlova and the stories surrounding it or Tronchetto Di Natale Al Tiramisù, this would make the perfect holiday gift for any baker.
• Christmas with Kim-Joy: A Festive Collection of Edible Cuteness by Kim-Joy is back with her creations that overdose on creativity and cuteness. The perfect stocking stuffer for baking lovers!
• The Little Library Christmas by Kate Young is a collection of 50 festive recipes from edible gifts and cocktail party catering, to the big day itself and ideas for your leftovers, this book will guide you through the Christmas period with meals, treats, tipples, and plenty of reading recommendations. A great stocking stuffer!
• The Christmas Cookie Cookbook: Over 100 Recipes to Celebrate the Season by Cider Mill Press shares 100 recipes with delicious classics like Gingerbread Cookies, as well as new favorites like Cardamom Cookies and other instant hits.
