Fast Fix Baking, Let’s Eat Cookies, Prime Day, recipes and more

Next month the latest cookbook from the talented team behind Bake From Scratch will be published and features recipes that can be made quickly but are still impressive. Fast Fix Baking: 85 Recipes to Make in 2 Hours or Less by Brian Hart Hoffman shares recipes that include Turtle coffee cake, Sweet potato spice cake with toasted meringue, and Raspberry olive oil cake. Lovely photographs are shared for each bake along with a sprinkling of “pro tip” hints throughout. Preorder your copy now!

Make a note of other titles coming this year from 83 Press which include: It’s Time to Bake Pastries: An Introduction to Patisserie; Ribbon in Her Journal: Memories from Phyllis Hoffman DePiano; Bake Until Golden Brown; Ralph the Baker’s New Orleans Recipes; and R.U. Somehow in December, I missed the publication of Let’s Eat Cookies: A Collection of the Best Cookie Recipes by Maria Lichty. Maria is the author of the blog Two Peas and Their Pod (which is indexed on EYB with 2,038 recipes you can add to your Bookshelf) as well as the cookbook of the same name Two Peas & Their Pod Cookbook and several cookie pamphlets. When the book popped up on one of my searches, I had to order it immediately.

This beautiful book features both new recipes and tried and true favorites and is sure to please long-time followers while introducing her delicious recipes to new bakers. There are a few corrections that Maria has shared on her website which we have outlined under Notes.

A few recipes that standout to me include Ultimate campfire cookies, Biscoff cookies with Biscoff glaze, Brown butter Twix cookies, and Brown butter salted caramel snickerdoodles. Each recipe is accompanied by a gorgeous photograph and note that the ingredient amounts are in volume only.
