The author shares that cooking has helped her find herself – which I believe rings true for a lot of cooks and bakers. Cooking and baking is an art form and putting our twists on dishes is another way to share ourselves with others. I remember one Thanksgiving many years ago – in another life – I had made a full spread for my then boyfriend’s family. The brother of said boyfriend commented that it was one of the best meals he had ever had and that I was like an artist with food. That was one of the best compliments I ever received.
In Sugarcane, Arlyn brings us a plethora of different flavors to excite the artist in all of us.
