April Fools’ Day food company pranks

I was traveling much of the day today, but I did see a few fun April Fools’ Day pranks being posted to social media. It seems to me that pranks these days are very transparently jokes and not actual efforts to fool anyone, probably because it is hard to know what’s real and what’s fake in these strange times (AI chatbots and other AI tools have us all befuddled). King Arthur Baking’s typo-riddled post gave away the game:

Other food-related (or at least food-adjacent) companies joined in the fun as well. Convenience store chain 7-11 announced a new flavor for its canned drinks: Big Bite Hot Dog, while Pringles and healthy soda company OLIPOP said they were collaborating on a new sour cream and onion flavored soda. Mail order company Omaha Steaks said they were launching a personal products line that included barbecue scented deodorant, with salad chain Sweetgreen likewise offering an “after salad kit” with cilantro-lime dental floss, and to make a personal care trifecta, Sriracha’s parent company announced the debut of Sriracha flavored toothpaste.

Some companies offered no-foolin’ specials and deals, including Krispy Kreme and Cheesecake Factory. Did you spy any good April Fools’ ads or pranks this year?
