Griddled peach and pistachio pavlova with lavender honey

Honey is one of my favorite ingredients and I was so excited when this book arrived. I want to make the Broken beans this coming weekend as it works off a can of baked beans – I love a shortcut. Almost every recipe in the Bakes chapter is calling my name too: Almond briouats, Honey nut corn cake, and Lemon pollen pie – are just three of the standouts.

There are recipes that have special flavored honeys as an ingredient but Amy has made it clear to not let that stop you from making any of these dishes – in most of them a regular honey will suffice.

    I’m not sure I could pick just one recipe…
    I love pavlovas so the GRIDDLED PEACH AND PIISTACHIO PAVLOVA with lavender honey sounds amazing. Plus I don’t have a grill so I love the idea of griddled peaches.
    On the other hand, I love the idea of HONEY JAR FERMENTS.
    Then I’m always looking for something different to do with my seafood box salmon so I’m excited to try the SAIKYO SALMONG

    Saikyo salmon is the recipe I am going to try.
    I remember leaving England to come to the U.S. to live (my Dad was WWII US ARMY and my Mom was WWII British Army) and my Grandmom allowing me to pick anything she had for me to bring to my new home. I chose the Honey Pot with a bee on it – she smiled and gave it to me. I found out later that it was a cherished gift from her husband who had died at a young age.
    I eat honey every day and I am 77 y/o who rarely ever gets sick. I have always said it was the honey. Grandmom was a firm believer in a tablespoon daily.
