Recipes include: Transylvanian griddle breads with cheese and honey; Folded curd cheese pies; Armenian Kurabia shortbread with mahlep and Cherry and basil sour cream cake. I honestly have goosebumps looking at the pages and content in this book. I am looking forward to baking from this title while January and February are a tiny bit slower before the March and April wave of cookbooks hit the shore.
The first recipe I want to make is the Romanian festive bread (shared below in our preview). As a birthday gift to myself last month, I purchased the Ankarsrum Assistent Original AKM 6230 Electric Stand Mixer which is allegedly the stand mixer for bread making – so I am looking forward to breaking this bad boy in.
