The Savory Baker: 150 Creative Recipes, from Classic to Modern by America’s Test Kitchen explores the savory side of baking with a plethora of flavor possibilities. Different types of flours, puff pastry and crust pointers, baking basics and suggested tools are all covered in the introduction.

Recipes include creative twists like gochujang-filled puff pastry pinwheels or feta-studded dill-zucchini bread as well as baked goods from around the world, from Chinese lop cheung bao to Brazilian pão de quejo. I mentioned in my Spring preview that I want to bake every in this book and as I look through it again – I am reminded just how lovely this title is – just look at that cover.
