Matt Tebbutt is used to spending his Saturdays cooking – as the host of BBC TV’s Saturday Kitchen, he’s never short of a fast meal idea or a meal for guests that will impress. In his new book – we have all his titles indexed – he presents 100 recipes and menu combinations, beautiful photography, and simple yet inspiring dishes to make any weekend a special occasion.
The chapters are organized as follows: Friday Night; Breakfast and Brunch; Lunch and BBQ; Saturday Night; Sunday Lunch and Desserts. There is something here for everyone including fabulous salad and vegetable dishes; meat and seafood and as mentioned already dessert!

- Poached chicken with citrus parsley salad
- Spiced marinated leg of lamb with white beans and mint chutney

Pork banh mi with crispy bits and carrot pickle; Buttermilk fried chicken and charred pineapple salsa; and Crisp-fried goat’s cheese with herb lentils and spiced roasted apples are just a few standouts for me. Yes, buttermilk fried chicken is not anything new – but charred pineapple salsa – takes it to a whole new playing field.
