Flatirons Food Film Festival giveaway

The 8th Flatirons Food Film Festival starts today and goes through February 5, and like so many other programs, the festival has gone completely virtual. The festival features films about chefs, Black American/ indigenous peoples foodways, food waste, and more. Events include a food trivia game night with prizes, free children’s puppet-making class, and if you live in the Denver/Boulder area, movie nights with takeout restaurant and meal kit dinners. You can find tickets at https://flatironsfoodfilm.eventive.org.

You can register to watch live programs when they first become available (the Festival “premiere” for films). Or, you may tune in later and start watching the recorded programs during the Festival week at your convenience. You’ll have 72 hours to finish watching. The film titles are intriguing and include Meat the Future, A Six Dollar Cup of Coffee, Short Films: Keepers of Black American Food Culture, and Setting the Bar: A Craft Chocolate Origin Story. For complete information see the 8th Festival schedule.

The festival has graciously offered 4 virtual passes to the film program, which we are offering to four EYB members worldwide. We will give away the tickets after midnight Eastern Time tomorrow (January 29). To enter this contest, please leave a comment below about which film most interests you.

I’m excited about the “Meat the Future” film! I’m a scientist, so I love learning more about innovation in food and tech.

I’d love to see Setting the Bar. As the owner of a small chocolate making business, it would be incredibly interesting and helpful!

Well that was an easy selection process. I will today be forwarding complimentary passes to those 4 members.
If other members are interested in these movies, most are available internationally (and some of them are free).
