November 2020 Eat Your Books Cookbook Club Summary
November 17, 2020 by JennyEach month we offer at least four cooking options in our Eat Your Books Cookbook Club. This month we’ve been cooking from the following titles:
- Main Selection: Ottolenghi Flavour by Yotam Ottolenghi, Ixta Belfrage and Tara Wigley
- Baking Selection: 100 Cookies: The Baking Book for Every Kitchen, with Classic Cookies, Novel Treats, Brownies, Bars, and More by Sarah Kieffer (extending posts until 12/31/2020 due to backorder of cookbooks)
- Online Option: Any Ottolenghi online recipe
- Plant-based Option: Oh She Glows for Dinner: Nourishing Plant-Based Meals to Keep You Glowing by Angela Liddon
For past EYB Cookbook Club summaries, #EYBCookbookClub will pull up an archive of our club’s activities. Please note our announcement document shared in the club shares all our options (including those in the past). You will find the options for December 2020 and January 2021 at the bottom of this post.
An EYB member recently asked what options were available for those not on Facebook. Please post your photos here on EYB as I always check the book’s member images and try to include those as well. We want everyone to participate.

This was a very busy month. Ottolenghi is everyone’s chef crush. From Flavor/Flavour we have the following dishes:

Sweet potato in tomato, lime and cardamom sauce by Darcie
Spicy roast potatoes with tahini and soy by me
Curried carrot mash with brown butter by Jane (Thanks to Jane for making this dish and raving – I made it because of you and it is one of my favorite things now. Other members made this dish as well.)

Sugar cookies with chocolate and sprinkles made by member verorenee
There are many additional photos in the club and we have almost a half month of cooking from these titles. We are extending 100 Cookies until the end of the year as members are waiting for the second printing of this amazing book.
