This week: How to grill the perfect burger, cooking subscription boxes, cookbook previews and more
June 27, 2020 by JennyIn many parts of the world, grilling season is upon us. After sheltering in place for months, cooks are headed outdoors. The tempting aroma of food cooking over fire wafts through neighborhoods and before you know it you are craving something from the grill. I am not a huge beef fan but I do love a burger. We have over 3,000 burger recipes (online recipes) in our Library from plant-based options such as black bean burgers to salmon burgers to a fully loaded beef burger. The choices are many.
For myself, I find the less you do to a burger the better. I make the patties about two inches thick and create a small indentation in the middle where I place a half tablespoon of butter and then fold the burger into itself to reshape the patty (think tiny butter block). Before grilling, I salt and pepper, and then my husband is in charge of the grill. What are your burger tips?
