Dinner at the Club – Cookbook Giveaway

Enter our US giveaway below to win a copy Dinner at the Club: 100 Years of Stories and Recipes from South Philly’s Palizzi Social Club by Joseph Baldino and Adam Erace. This title is one of my favorites from last year (can you believe we are already talking about last year?!) and made my best books of 2019.

Dinner at the Club: 100 Years of Stories and Recipes from South Philly’s Palizzi Social Club by Joseph Baldino and Adam Erace is filled with photographs and recipes from the members-only South Philly hot spot where “if the neon is on, we’re open”.

Palizzi Social Club has celebrated 100 years in the business, but it was after chef Joey Baldino took over from his late uncle Ernie that the restaurant really exploded. The photos of the interior of the club harken back to the golden age of rat packers and the stories clue us into what it feels like to be a member. I love learning about the past and often feel like I was born in the wrong decade. I romanticize the days when stars were stars and nightclubs and restaurants were jumping and the place to be. This book gives off that vibe along with a wealth of delicious dishes to recreate in our kitchens.

With recipes such as Parmigiano crespelle en brodo and an entire chapter devoted to the feast of the seven fishes, this book is gold. There are a number of restaurants that have me longing to head to Philly and now I have another one to add to my list.

Our EYBDPreviewButton takes you inside this beautiful book and features the following EYBD Recipe Button
