Gather: A Dirty Apron Cookbook by David Robertson is the anticipated follow-up to the bestselling Dirty Apron Cookbook (review). Robertson’s latest book celebrates the simple pleasure that is cooking food and features an enticing collection of 80 delicious recipes, designed to be shared.

The author has a knack for creating exciting dishes. For instance, Spanish manchego meatballs with saffron basmati rice and Barley, kale and soppressata soup demonstrate his mastery of joining flavors together to create new and fun menu options. Robertson shares recipes for the basics such as garlic confit and classic puff pastry the latter with illustrations to guide us with folding the pastry. Dark chocolate pâté, Tomato sesame brioche buns, and Salmon, spinach, and fennel Wellington are a few more examples of the range of recipes here.
