Baking with Kim-Joy Cookbook Giveaway
October 17, 2019 by JennyEnter to win a copy of Baking with Kim-Joy: Cute and Creative Bakes to Make You Smile in our giveaway below. Kim-Joy is guaranteed to bring happiness to our baking.
Kim-Joy was a finalist in season 9 (2018) of the Great British Bake Off. Her adorable woodland creatures and space turtles made her bakes something to look forward to and the magical way she embraced the world was delightful.
Born in Belgium on World Baking Day appropriately to an English father and Malaysian–Chinese mother, the 28-year-old baker grew up in London and now lives in Leeds with her partner. Since her bake-off days, Kim-Joy has been writing a column devoted to her creations at The Guardian all of which we have indexed for our members. The author’s book tour is winding down but she still has a few events that we have shared on our calendar.
I was excited when I learned that Kim-Joy was writing a cookbook and when I first looked at the galley, I was overjoyed. Not only is it filled with Kim-Joy’s design style but the recipes are spectacular. Ginger pecan and salted caramel cake, Pistachio and cardamom cake with mango-saffron jam, and Rustic no-knead overnight caraway bread (Kim-Joy particularly loves making bread) are a few examples. Cake decorating tips, beautiful illustrations, and striking illustrations filled this baker’s dream of a book.
Everyone needs Kim-Joy, space turtles and baking joy in their life.
