Get ready – Prime Day is just around the corner

If you took advantage of Amazon’s Prime Day sales in the past but wished the window for savings was larger, you are in for a treat this year. Amazon recently announced that it was having its longest Prime Day ever, billing it as “a two-day parade of non-stop deals.” For the first time, Prime Day will run for 48 hours, offering Prime members two full days of the best in shopping and entertainment with great savings across a multitude of items, including the things we care most about: cookbooks and kitchen tools.

Prime Day has expanded in the last couple of years to include more countries. This year you can get deals in the United States, United Kingdom, Spain, Mexico, Japan, India, Italy, Germany, France, China, Canada, Belgium, Austria, Australia, Singapore, Netherlands, Luxembourg, and – for the first time – United Arab Emirates.

If you’ve ever wondered why Prime Day falls in the middle of the year, wonder no more. It was started in July of 2015 to celebrate Amazon’s 20th anniversary. The actual day varies, and since it seems to keep getting longer, the name might eventually be changed as well (Prime Week, anyone?).

No doubt there will be great deals in items like the newest generation of Instant Pot, but that is just the beginning. As we hear about items that will be offered as deals on Prime Day we will share it with our Members via Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. If you are planning on taking advantage of great Prime Day deals, we’d like to ask a favor: please click through to Amazon from any of the Buy Book links on our site or use the links found on our home page:

We will earn a small affiliate fee for anything you purchase from Amazon, which will allow us to index more books and make improvements to our site.
