Le Creuset Cookbook and Le Creuset Provence Dutch Oven Promotion
February 3, 2018 by JennyCreated in Le Creuset‘s very own test kitchen, Le Creuset: A Collection of Recipes from Our French Table is a cookbook that is as stunning as the French icon’s beautiful cookware. With over eighty inspiring French recipes designed to empower home cooks to explore the timeless pleasures of the French table, this title will release your inner Jacques Pépin or Julia Child.
Does that opening paragraph sound familiar? It should. Our November promotion reviewed this stunning book, the Le Creuset’s stainless steel line and also shared the Onion soup recipe that you can add to your bookshelf to try later. Now, I’m back with a little more about this book and one of the newest colors from this company that keeps tempting me without mercy.
Le
Creuset’s Provence collection is dreamy. Who
needs chocolates for Valentine’s Day when you can have French
cookware? Score big points on Mother’s Day or Father’s Day, gifting
the cook in your life a piece of this cookware (or several
pieces). Why even wait for an occasion? Le Creuset cookware
is a beautiful investment that will be handed down to generations
of future cooks. That being said, I have requested to be buried
with mine. I definitely want to go into the next life with my Le
Creuset, just saying. (Dear husband, if you are reading this
the essential oven in the mint collection
which is only available at Williams-Sonoma would make me very happy
and would go beautifully with the Provence color.)
To christen this gorgeous Dutch oven, I made
the Boeuf
Bourguignon from the Le Creuset cookbook and it was received
with rave reviews. My son can be difficult about food (his autism
and bipolar illness can make meal times difficult). However, he
said the Boeuf Bourguignon which I served over pureed
cauliflower was one of the best things he ever ate. Andrew hates
leftovers but the next day he had two additional bowls. My husband,
who didn’t get to eat the dish until the following day, was
impressed as well and if I do say so myself this recipe was
incredible – piping hot over the pureed cauliflower, it was pure
comfort.
This beautiful book is well done and screams quality just as the Le Creuset family of cookware does. Right now, the color Provence is only available through Sur la Table but will be released at Le Creuset online and in boutique stores this week. Sign up online to receive an email when it is available for purchase.
I’ve had this cookware for years and have never had a problem with staining as I have heard a few others mention. I have been accused of treating my pots better than I do my husband (only somewhat true). I do use Bar Keeper’s Friend when I need to and each pot I own looks brand new. I love my husband but I’ll hurt you over my cookware. Another note that I want to mention is that the newer pots are now stamped with the size on the bottom, which is helpful for those who don’t stalk the line as much as I do.
The staff that work for this company are also outstanding. Last
week, Gail
Simmons visited the Le Creuset shop at Cherry Creek about forty
minutes from my home to sign copies of her new book. Bombarded with work, I was torn
between going to see her and meeting my deadlines. I called the
shop and spoke to an incredibly kind person who said she would have
Gail autograph something for me and I could pick it up sometime
this week. Again, I have been so busy getting ready for a trip to
New York as well as judging and testing recipes for the James Beard
awards, I didn’t get a chance to run over.
This morning, I called back and spoke to a different person who
answered the phone. I asked if I could send a self-addressed
envelope to them because I didn’t know when I could get there. The
employee said not to worry she would mail it to me. I was blown
away. Since I had her on the phone, I asked if they had any of the
Silicone Magnetic Trivets in stock and
ordered a set. She stated she would take great care in sending the
autograph to me. The staff at the Cherry Creek location went above
and beyond for me. Side note, the Silicone Hand Grips are amazing and work
perfectly to transport a hot pot to the dinner table and the
magnetic trivets are brilliant as the pots tend to slide on a
regular trivet.
