    That is such a tough question, but I usually end up going back to cheddar. It's great to use in pretty much everything!

    Sad to say, but my favorite cheese is good ol American. Gruyere is really nice too.

    Really difficult to choose just one cheese. I guess if I was stranded on a desert island with just one cheese it would have to be gruyere. But I always keep a block of Cabot Cheddar (yes), parmesan and fontina in my cheese drawer which covers just about anything I want to make and together make a pretty swell grilled cheese.
    I try to keep feta on hand too but that gets eaten immediately.

    Cheddar for its all around versatility, from the beautifully aged extra sharp to the meltable milder versions. But I am hard pressed to name a cheese I do not like.

    Because I can't easily access my favourite British cheeses in the USA (Belstone, Cornish Yarg, Devon Oke, Lord of the Hundreds, Spenwood [and some of these, alas, may no longer be being produced]), I'll go with a nice aged Manchego.

    so hard to choose–I love any goat's milk cheese, especially goat's milk feta; once, though, I did try a rosemary fig creamy goat cheese that was absolutely amazing. and of course, cabot extra-sharp cheddar, always a classic.

    EXTRA sharp cheddar cheese. When I lived in Vermont going to the Cabot Factory store was a fun outing! I miss their cheddar powder on popcorn! The best!
