A new book by Diana Henry is in the works

Her books reside on thousands of Member Bookshelves, and those who have participated in the “Cooking along with Diana Henry” forum rave about her approachable, exceedingly delicious recipes – and about her stellar writing ability. Her 2015 book A Bird in the Hand and her most recent Simple: Effortless Food, Big Flavours both received a 4.5 star rating from Members.
Octopus Publishing Group has just announced that next April, we can expect a new book by Diana titled How to Eat a Peach (available for preorder now). In the replies to the tweet, Diana said that the new volume is “A book of menus, but also lots of places. How places visited or lived in make us the cooks we are,” adding “it’s not like my others!”
According to the book’s synopsis, Diana started planning menus, her favorite part of cooking, when she was a mere sixteen years old (when I was sixteen I thought making macaroni and cheese from a box was a huge accomplishment). The book contains 24 menus, each “introduced with personal essays in Diana’s now well-known voice- about places or journeys or particular times…Each menu is a story in itself, but the recipes can also stand alone.” There is one disappointing thing about the announcement: we have to wait six months before we get the book!
