Smith & Daughters: A Cookbook (That Happens to Be Vegan) by Shannon Martinez and Mo Wyse is the debut cookbook of the talent team behind the celebrated Melbourne restaurant of the same name.

    mmm…pozole…jackfruit carnitas, chargrilled tofu adobo, brazilian slaw…braised barley and peas…oh, warm mexican corn and blueberry pudding, sangria crumble!! gangster horchata!! el nino, siesta, blood orange and basil margarita, basil luchador, bitter jess…these cocktails…this cookbook…absolutely impossible to choose just one.

    I like the idea of the "Colombian hominy & black bean soup (Pozole)"; I've made the delicious Moosewood Restaurant recipe for years (the one with the butternut squash, red bell peppers, onions, hominy, and chipotle), and this one looks nice, for a change.
