The "Barbecued crayfish with curry butter" sounds utterly decadent & would be perfect for the balmy weather that's struck us here in Victoria. My belly is rumbling simply at the idea of it!

  • obbigttam  on  March 17, 2017

Horseradish slaw has my tastebuds interested – love my veges and love my heat, and I can see this going so well with my other love of BBQ.

Mexican shrimp cocktail – the old fashioned favourite is getting lots of "makeovers"!

  • permie_girl  on  March 17, 2017

I don't need to go past the first recipe in the list – I adore black beans so it would have to be Baleadas with black beans.

  • dirtgirl  on  March 17, 2017

It would have to be Rib-sticking Pea and Ham soup P.72, especially with the cooler/wet weather already hitting us, an ideal soul warmer.

  • jezpurr  on  March 17, 2017

Alot of these recipes sound look really good!!!^_^

  • hippiechick1955  on  March 17, 2017

I like the title. It isn't necessary to give a cookbook a fancy title – the subtitle on this book says it all. I'd buy it just for that!

Everything sounds delicious in the index and the horseradish slaw has this pescatarian / mostly vegetarian mouth watering.

  • cocecitycook  on  March 18, 2017

Asparagus with poached eggs and park cheese. Yum!

  • Karla123  on  March 18, 2017

I love plant-based meals, so I would easily try the "vegetable and tofu stir-fry."

  • Redheadedcook  on  March 18, 2017

I'd like to try "this is how I make spring rolls"

  • DimSumMamma  on  March 20, 2017

Wow! so many to choose from. I would want to make one of the many sauces… and the bean and kale soup.

  • CarlyJane  on  March 20, 2017

Excellent, I think its so important to learn about what produce is in season & how best to use it. Ive always been such a fan of Annabel's cookbooks, so beautiful & packed with colour.

    Shakshuka eggs

  • jd5761  on  March 30, 2017

Essential for me is about going back to things that really matter (not 63 ingredients you've never heard of). Cooking and eating seasonally helps too. I like the look of several of the fritters – always a classic!

  • Ordinaryblogger  on  March 31, 2017

Sometimes I find the tips BETTER than recipes because they give me independence and skills to become a better cook.

  • GregH  on  April 9, 2017

  • kerrigans  on  April 9, 2017

I like the title. I could always use tips on techniques and cooking styles, braising, roasting, etc…

I'm on a big frugality drive so I'm really interested in all the vegetarian but hearty vegetarian meals as we move into winter here in Oz. The meal- in-a-bowl ticks portion control and presentation boxes – love the sound of the Buddha Bowl!

I think they can teach you how to cook if they give a good description of what the dish should taste and look like.

  • lebarron2001  on  April 20, 2017

I enjoy learning techniques because I generally improvise in recipes anyway.
