Yes it does appeal to me and has for awhile now. I think I was a homesteader in a previous life. There is still the family homesteading cabin on Chesser Island.

  • susankay  on  December 13, 2016

Yes I think this would be fun!

  • cindymisho  on  December 13, 2016

I am really interested to see what this book has to offer, it does appeal to me. "crossing fingers"

  • ballen  on  December 13, 2016

    Perhaps on a part-time basis …

  • DKennedy  on  December 13, 2016

Well, more as an experiment, not a life choice. I also was a big fan of Northern Exposure and the thought of living in rural Alaska has always been a romantic notion for me.

  • Missdith34  on  December 13, 2016

    Yes!

  • Lmeyers520  on  December 13, 2016

I would love to have a book like this to add to my collection

  • edyenicole  on  December 13, 2016

    Yes, somehwhat it does.

  • sgump  on  December 13, 2016

    Yes–but I'd need help!

  • Lyndaherman  on  December 13, 2016

I'd like to know more about it.

  • cupcakemommy  on  December 14, 2016

Well, I love to fantasize about homesteading. I have the vegetable garden and the chickens so I've got a pretty good start going.

  • lhudson  on  December 14, 2016

No…at my age I like the comforts of urban/suburban life. Now if I was 30 years maybe it would appeal to me.

  • Siegal  on  December 14, 2016

Yes! I like making my own items

  • dbielick  on  December 14, 2016

No – close enough already with our country life. Tired of battling the critters and the elements!

  • PennyG  on  December 14, 2016

No, though some aspects of it appeal to me. Still, the healthy, whole foods approach of the recipes in this book sound very appealing to me!

  • gjelizabeth  on  December 14, 2016

I'd rather be inspired by others' adventures than homestead myself, but it does exert a pretty strong attraction!

  • tcjanes  on  December 14, 2016

    No.

  • Teruska  on  December 15, 2016

We enjoy being able to take care of ourselves by gardening, canning, freezing, fermenting, baking. I cure our own bacon, hams. We make our own sausages.

  • catmommy9  on  December 15, 2016

I'm not sure. I might be too lazy to do it.

  • ckbkcollector  on  December 16, 2016

    yes

  • daniellespinato1  on  December 16, 2016

The food aspect of the homesteader life is appealing to me but not much else!

  • mpdeb98  on  December 16, 2016

The type of food appeals to me but the lifestyle does not.

  • Mariarosa  on  December 16, 2016

The independence aspect of homesteading appeals to me but the amount of work required does not ๐Ÿ™‚

  • annieski  on  December 17, 2016

    No.
Although it's easy to romanticize the idea…..

  • cocecitycook  on  December 17, 2016

Homesteading is hard work but I love it!

  • bfg67  on  December 17, 2016

    yes would like sheep!

  • t.t  on  December 17, 2016

It's my husband's dream, and there are aspects of it that I like, but I don't know if I have enough skills to survive full-time on a homestead…

  • laureljean  on  December 18, 2016

Only certain parts, I'm afraid. I'd love to be able to get up in the a.m. to the sounds of nature, instead of the city. I'd love to grow and preserve my own food. I'd love to have a pantry stocked of jars of things only I have made. But I think that's as far as I could go.

  • GrammyBevie  on  December 18, 2016

I am ABSOLUTELY interested! Especially when I watch Eve & Eivin doing all of this stuff!!! It is SO impressive, inspiring and you make it look so easy! Not sure I could do it, but would love to try!

  • sarahawker  on  December 19, 2016

In some aspects, but I"m not sure it would "full time".

  • Deneenm  on  December 19, 2016

I'm not sure really – maybe incorporate some aspects into my current lifestyle

  • Katiefayhutson  on  December 19, 2016

    Yes!

  • pandapotamus  on  December 21, 2016

    yes!

  • Dmartin997  on  December 22, 2016

Am interested in healthy and clean food. Would love to grow our food.

  • infotrop  on  December 22, 2016

It's appealing but also seems challenging to manage if you are also working (for pay) fulltime.

  • smccandless  on  December 22, 2016

    I say "yes"!

  • auntietina  on  December 26, 2016

I lived in rural Northern California for 12 years, where our nearest Home Depot/McDonalds, etc was 1.5 hours away. That was as close to homesteading as I ever want to get.

  • pwsnook  on  December 26, 2016

It's appealing in concept, but I don't think I'm cut out for that kind of physical labor!

  • meggan  on  December 29, 2016

Sometimes it does – when I am not feeling lazy!

  • JanScholl  on  December 31, 2016

As long as I can continue my current life of honoring animals, yes. But I would only be able to live alone.

  • djoh437938  on  December 31, 2016

    yeah back to nature

  • lovelily1001  on  December 31, 2016

i love the idea of homesteading, but it is more of a vacation for the imagination. that means reading about it is perfect!

  • muddypuppy2  on  December 31, 2016

No, I did the "Green Acres" thing in Michigan for 7 years. I just like collecting cookbooks.

  • percussion03  on  January 1, 2017

The modern version of it, anyway. We have chickens, guineas, and bees so far, and are learning how to garden in the woods, mostly with fruits, berries, and (hopefully) mushrooms.

  • homeeccentric  on  January 2, 2017

I would love to homestead someday. Right now I'll stick to my tiny backyard garden.

  • lgroom  on  January 3, 2017

I've tried a lot of it. Love to garden and preserve.

  • ravensfan  on  January 4, 2017

    It appeals a little bit.

  • dmass  on  January 4, 2017

I dream of homesteading and grow a lot of the food we eat. I would love to read and learn how real homesteaders use their bounty.

  • lils74  on  January 5, 2017

Absolutely; I already make jams, mustards and preserves but would love to learn and do more.

  • alirov  on  January 9, 2017

It appeals to me a little bit but I don't think I could do it full time.

  • lebarron2001  on  January 9, 2017

I'm not sure the lifestyle appeals to me but the recipes sure do !

  • ninaarahgnis  on  January 11, 2017

    Yes, completely!

  • AliceJ  on  January 14, 2017

Yes. I know it gets romanticized, and the hard work is minimized, but still I am very interested.

  • amandacooks  on  January 17, 2017

Possibly. I like the idea of doing more with less, but full-on homesteading would be a lot of work.

  • allthatsleftarethecrumbs  on  January 17, 2017

I would love to have a big garden, but I know that there is so much more to homesteading than just that.
