I have made simple stir fries but not any Chinese food. My son lives and works in Taiwan and raves about the food.

I cook a few Chinese dishes at home, mostly from Fuschia Dunlop's books. One of my recent favorites was homemade wontons with chilli oil. (I love her homemade chilli oil on everything, actually.) Would love to check out this book and branch out more into these varied cuisines!

favorite foods – anything with noodle and tofu. And making dumplings. I've been shown how to make hand-pulled noodle popular in Xian (thinner noodle than lots available on youtube) by my in-laws who are like hand-pulled ninjas but I'm still 1 out of 10 in execution. Would love to be able to make like them.

I also really like making this vegan dan dan noodle recipe -http://www.seriouseats.com/recipes/2013/02/vegan-dan-dan-noodles-recipe.html – but I feel like I don't ever get my flavor profiles right, and I would love to have a good cookbook that could guide me.
