Good food, family and cookbooks

Thanksgiving has come and gone so quickly. I hope everyone who celebrated had a wonderful day filled with delicious food shared with family and friends. The day started early for me and is just winding down. Everyone loved the dinner and desserts and I sent leftovers home with all my guests. I am thankful for many things this year – my friends, family and the work I am doing with Eat Your Books. We have a great group of people here and I am enjoying getting to know many of our members.

I’m thankful for my group as well – I just received a message from one of my friends from The Cookbook Junkies who thanked me for everything I do (which isn’t much) – she said she cooked from a great many of her cookbooks this holiday and everyone raved. That’s what I enjoy about folks who love to cook – we’re good people – it takes little to make us happy. Good food and great cookbooks – speaking of cookbooks . . .

I wanted to let you all know that Amazon has a special code HOLIDAYBOOK which you can apply at checkout to receive $10 off any book purchases over $25.00 – I purchased Social Sweets.  This code is valid until the 28th. Also, remember if you use our BUY BOOK button – any purchases (books or other items) at Amazon help to support our indexing efforts. As more codes become available, I will let you know.

Starting next week, I will be sharing Holiday Gift Guides for Bakers, Entertainers, Art Lovers and more. What books are on your holiday list?

Two more reminders – remember to enter the giveaways that are open here at Eat Your Books (I extended the giveaway for Classic German Baking until Monday to give everyone a chance to enter over the weekend) – sharing our posts are always appreciated and lastly our Gift Certificate promotion – buy a gift membership and be entered to win a lifetime membership.

Enjoy your weekend and happy reading and leftovers to everyone!
