Cookbook giveaway – The Vegetarian Flavor Bible

The Vegetarian Flavor Bible

The 576 pages of The Vegetarian Flavor Bible are filled with countless tips for easy ways to add more flavor to everything you cook, like how to make creamy vegetable sauce for pasta using just steamed vegetables, a Vitamix, some ice, a hint of cayenne or chili pepper flakes, and an optional touch of brown butter.  (Learn more about the flavor discoveries that author Karen Page made during the research of the cook in the EYB interview.) We’re delighted to offer five copies of The Vegetarian Flavor Bible to EYB members in the U.S. and Canada only.

Enter by clicking on the contest below. Please note that while one of the entry options is to answer a question in the comments, you must enter through Rafflecopter or your entries won’t be counted. The contest ends November 12, 2014.

I love the authors' book, 'The Flavor Bible.' Many of the meals I cook today are meat-free and I've contemplated eliminating meat altogether and going vegetarian full-time. Having this book would be a great asset in that effort.

I was surprised by how well cinnamon & raspberry go together.

Bay, thyme, and pears (from a braised pork dish by Jerry Traunfeld). Like fitfeat, I use The Flavor Bible often, and we eat vegetarian at least several days of the week, so this veg. version has been on my wishlist since I've been aware of it.

One of my favorite flavor combinations is tomato and allspice, I always add it to my homemade marinara sauce! It's a little sweet and woody and everyone likes it but no one knows what it is.

I just bought the original Flavor Bible a few months ago and absolutely love it! Like ellabee, I've had this new vegetarian version on my wishlist since I first heard about it. Maybe not an unusual combination to some, but I just recently discovered watermelon + balsamic + feta using The Flavor Bible. I'm excited about all of the possibilities these two books offer.
