Food books that can change your life
May 23, 2012 by Lindsay
Adam Roberts over at The Amateur Gourmet has compiled a list of The
Ten Food Books That Changed My Life. And we must say that
almost all of the books struck a chord with us. There are some
wonderful writers – both old and new – represented here. Among them
are Calvin Trillin, M.F.K. Fisher, Michael Pollan, Gabrielle
Hamilton, and Amanda Hesser.
Our own list would substitute some others such as Elizabeth David and Laurie Colwin, but, of course, this is all personal, based on everyone’s own background and experiences. Still, it’s great fun reading others’ lists. Feel free to share yours; if nothing else, this will give everyone some great ideas for summer reading.
And please remember, if you are looking for some summer reading list inspiration, that our library collection allows you to browse through books, magazines, and blogs in any number of ways – by types, courses, occasions, ethnicity, countries, just to name a few. In short, there’s a cornucopia of ideas here.
