Food was no exception to this aestheticism, and scores of bloggers attracted huge audiences based on their stunning food photography. Recently, however, the ‘grams look a bit different. There’s a new sheriff in town when it comes to Instagram food, explains Eater’s Bettina Makalintal, who observes that the platform is currently in the midst of a ‘laissez faire’ revolution.
As Halloween approaches, millions of carved pumpkins will appear on porches and tables as part of the holiday decorations. Instead of throwing away the seeds, many folks opt to roast and eat them. As you scoop out your pumpkin’s innards, you might wonder what the difference is between the pumpkin seeds you are removing and the pepitas (also pumpkin seeds) you see for sale in the store, because they don’t look quite the same.
