Happy 10th Birthday to EYB
August 1, 2019 by Jane
I cannot quite believe it but today is the 10th anniversary of the launch of Eat Your Books. The very first post on the blog was on launch day and I announced there were 550 books indexed. That number has now grown to 8,768 indexed books and 3,864 indexed magazines – a total of 1.8 million recipes indexed! We plan for the site to grow at an even faster pace over the next 10 years.
The basic idea of the site is unchanged in that time – to make it easier for you to find recipes in your own collection – but many extra features have been added over the 10 years. And we have plans for more exciting developments in the next year.
We have a wonderful team at EYB – several of them have been with us from the start. Fiona and I are so grateful to them all and also to our wonderful members, many of whom have also been with us for many years.
There are lots of fantastic giveaways planned this month as part of our celebrations – so keep checking back on the blog. And please do spread the word about EYB to all your friends and family who love to cook. We know there are many cookbook lovers out there who have not yet heard about the site.
