Kneaders Bakery and Cafe Cookbook & Gift Basket Giveaway
October 15, 2023 by JennyEnter our US giveaway to win one of 4 prize packages that will include a copy of Kneaders Bakery & Cafe: A Celebration of Our Best Recipes and Memories by Colleen Worthington as well as a Kneaders Famous Chunky Cinnamon Gift Box.
The story of Kneaders bakery and café began with Colleen and Gary Worthington baking traditional European bread in their kitchen. After mastering old-world bread-baking techniques and testing countless recipes, Colleen, Gary, and their growing team of bakers moved onto their signature artisan bread. Now they have gathered their best recipes in this commemorative cookbook, which includes Rosemary focaccia bread, Jalapeño cheddar bagels, Garlic mushroom bruschetta, Irish soda bread, Sesame semolina bread, and many more.
But bread is just the beginning. Kneaders is well-known for their mouth-watering soups and sandwiches as well as their delectable pies and pastries. For the first time, home cooks have access to popular recipes such as Overnight chunky cinnamon French toast, Stuffed French toast, Hot artichoke crabmeat dip, Three-cheese cauliflower soup, Pumpkin chocolate chip cookies, and Blueberry sour cream pie. Beautiful food photos accompany each recipe.
What began in Colleen Worthington’s kitchen twenty-five years ago has grown into a successful family-owned bakery and café business with time-tested, delicious recipes in this one-of-a-kind anniversary cookbook. There are 19 online recipes from the book to try now.
We love Kneaders. My favorite sandwich to order is their turkey which I get on their rosemary focaccia bread with the cranberry sauce. I could eat that every day. It is so good. Their cinnamon bread is dangerous. I always pick up a loaf but we end up tearing off pieces before we can even think about making French toast with it. Often Jim and I will head over to Kneaders to have a pastry – a chocolate mousse dome or almond croissant – and relax and I love that they have a small shop of non-food related goods.
You can order some of their pantry items and gift baskets online if you are not near a Kneaders location. They offer free shipping in the Western US and ship on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays only so that you receive the freshest product possible. They are no preservatives in their baked items so either use them immediately or freeze for use at a later date.
