Philadelphia is getting a new cookbook store
September 6, 2024 by DarcieWe love welcoming new cookbook stores to the world, and this one is especially satisfying because Philadelphia has been without a cookbook store since The Cook Book Stall in Reading Terminal Market closed in 2017. But soon the City of Brotherly Love will once again boast a cookbook store as Binding Agents plans to open its doors this fall. The store will be located in the 9th Street Italian Market, one of Philly’s most well-known culinary enclaves (and home to one of my all-time favorite kitchen stores, Fante’s Cookware Shop).
Binding Agents hopes to become “the region’s best source for new cookbooks and food-focused reads, plus gifts and goods for making, serving and enjoying.” We have added the store to our worldwide cookbook store listing. Until the doors are opened later this year, you can support Binding Agents and its owner, Catie Gainor, by backing the Indiegogo campaign and shopping its storefront on Bookshop.org. Welcome to the cookbook store community!
You may follow Binding Agents on Facebook and Instagram to keep up with their happenings!
