Celebrate Shrove Tuesday, aka Pancake Day

Today is Shrove Tuesday aka National Pancake Day. The Tuesday before Lent begins is a traditional day for eating pancakes, hearkening back to a time when any remaining rich foods (usually foods with a lot of fat or eggs) were eaten prior to the Lenten fasting. Because pancakes factor so heavily into this tradition, this food ‘holiday’ is a perfect excuse to make breakfast for dinner (not that I ever need one).
