Here we are in November and nearing the end of 2023. This year has flown by. Last month, I published the preliminary 2024 Cookbook Preview and don’t forget that you can create a wishlist and share it with your loved ones. Food, Hope & Resilience: Authentic Recipes and Remarkable Stories from Holocaust Survivors by June Hersh shares a collection of stories, photographs and recipes gathered from survivors of the Holocaust as well as recipes from culinary icons such as Michael Solomonov, Mark Bittman and Ina Garten who contributed their own recipes as tribute to the remarkable survivor community. A portion of the proceeds from sales of this book will benefit organizations committed to Holocaust education. This is an important book to support especially now as the Israel-Gaza conflict continues. It is my hope that the world will learn from history and the hate and killing will end.

Smoke on the Waterfront: The Northern Waters Smokehaus Cookbook by Northern Waters Smokehaus: In 1998, Eric Goerdt launched the Northern Waters Smokehaus in Duluth, Minnesota. This book has a little bit of everything from grilling, smoking, curing, pickling and everything in between. Tips for making a charcuterie board, recipes for condiments and sides and loads more are offered in this amazing book which really surprised and delighted me with its content.
