November 2022 EYB Cookbook Club Summary

Each month we offer at least four cooking options in our Eat Your Books Cookbook Club. This month we have been cooking from:

CookbookSimple Pasta: Pasta Made Easy. Life Made Better. by Odette Williams  or Milk Street: Cook What You Have: Make a Meal Out of Almost Anything by Christopher Kimball or any of Milk Street’s online recipes.
Baking: The Cookie Bible by Rose Levy Beranbaum or any of Rose’s online recipes
October & November: Vegan/Veg optionMission Vegan: Wildly Delicious Food for Everyone by Danny Bowien

For past EYB Cookbook Club summaries, #EYBCookbookClub will pull up an archive of our club’s activities. Please note our announcement document shared in the club shares all our options (including those in the past). You will find December and January cooking options as well as our 2022 year-long options and 2023 year-long options at the bottom of this post.

An EYB member recently asked what options were available for those not on Facebook. Please post your photos here on EYB as I always check the book’s member images and try to include those as well. We want everyone to participate.

It was a quiet month in the group but some gorgeous dishes were shared.

Our Darcie made the Chicken with apples and cider vinegar sauce on page 202 of Milk Street Cook What You Have. It looks so good I am thinking of using this recipe with turkey.

Bee B was inspired by Darcie and she made the same dish which she highly recommends!

Soulkitchenjen made the Cabbage and chicken salad with gochujang and sesame from Milk Street: Cook What You Have

Soulkitchenjen made the Yogurt cake with citrus and spice from Milk Street: Cook What You Have

Our Darcie made the Garlicky peanut noodles from Milk Street: Cook What You Have – and again she has me wanting to make these right away!
