Sur la table Online Cookbook Club – Ticket to Event & Dada Eats Cookbook Giveaway
August 23, 2021 by JennySur la table (SLT) has offered cooking classes for years and I’ve been fortunate enough to take two classes one on laminated dough and another on macarons. Since COVID, they have switched up their classes to an online setting.
Last month, SLT launched their online cookbook club. August’s featured author was Hetty McKinnon and September’s author will be Samah Dada. Each month, SLT will highlight an exciting cookbook and author. The online club will meet on a specific date and time via Zoom where the author will demonstrate two recipes from their cookbook as well as field questions from the audience.
Each class will come with a prep packet and shopping list in advance with a cookbook being shipped to attendees as well (while supplies last). The class fee is for the whole household. As the classes run for roughly an hour to 90 minutes, it may be difficult to keep up with the demo. Have no fear a recording of the class will be sent to each attendee the following day so you may re-watch and cook along at your convenience with the ability to pause when needed. Also, work or life committments (or internet issues) may prevent you from attending a particular Zoom cookbook club live and having the recording and cookbook will be the next best thing.
September’s cookbook club will be held on the 23rd at 6 p.m. EST and will feature Samah Dada’s fantastic new book Dada Eats: Love to Cook It: 100 Plant-Based Recipes for Everyone at Your Table and the two dishes that will be created are Cucumber ribbon kachumber and Sesame-crusted lentil falafel with lemony tahini sauce (pictured below).
You can sign up for SLT emails so you will not miss any sales or class news. SLT is offering one of our US members an opportunity to attend the September cookbook club. For complete details on the cookbook club see SLT’s site. Be sure to enter below.
