GBBO winner Nadiya Hussain lands her own Netflix program
April 16, 2020 by DarcieAlthough I have love for almost every contestant to grace the GBBO tent, one of my favorites is Nadiya Hussain. Since winning the 2015 title, Nadiya has written seven successful cookbooks, and now she can add another impressive item to her list of accomplishments. Netflix has announced that Nadiya is getting her own show, called Nadiya’s Time to Eat.
The program, which premieres on 29 April, will feature some baking but that is not the show’s focus, which will be more on getting dinner on the table to feed a busy family. To make cooking more enjoyable while spending less time doing it, Nadiya has been employing some time-saving ideas. “I’ve stopped feeling guilty about taking shortcuts, and I started to embrace every cheat in the book,” she said in a statement.
Nadiya’s Time to Eat will help us in the US fill the gap until the new season of GBBO (called Great British Baking Show here) is unveiled later this year. I hope that Netflix will consider an early release instead of making us wait until August, which seems like an eternity away.
Nadiya Bakes: Over 100 Must Try Recipes for Breads, Cakes, Biscuits, Pies and More will be released this summer.
