Proclamation Goods Cookware – Giveaway
January 20, 2020 by JennyAre you familiar with those Facebook sponsored ads that everyone complains about? I don’t mind them so much. I ignore most of them but often take a look at those related to cookware and cooking. It was one of those particular ads that brought my attention to Proclamation Goods Cookware.
The first thing that struck me was the design. The pieces looked stylish and appeared to be multi-functional. A bonus is that they are easily stored as the pieces nest inside each other. We all look for ways to save space and to be able to do so with a quality product, it is a win-win.
When I learned that the cookware was made in the US, I was thrilled. This company cares about its product and the environment – no toxic coatings and Proclamation is a member of 1% for the Planet. This means that one percent of their sales go to environmental causes. Read their proclamation here.
I reached out to the owners of Proclamation, Chris and Tony after I read their story quoted below and requested to review the cookware as well as to offer a promotion for our members.
Frustrated with unused, wasted cookware pieces and the toxicity associated with nonstick pots and pans, we set out to design an endlessly versatile and clean cookware solution. Proclamation creates intelligent kitchen essentials for the conscious consumer who cares about sustainability and cooking ‘farm to table’ whenever possible. We source responsibly, embrace minimalism, and care about our impact on the planet.
Generously, I was sent the stainless and stainless Duo as well as the carbon pan as shown above. When I opened the package, the pots were snuggled into a canvas tote bag which was a nice touch. (I love me a canvas tote bag.) After using the pieces, I have concluded that this set is what every cook – both novice and experienced – need.
The pieces have become my go-to in the kitchen. The pans are sturdy without being overly heavy. The pot can be used to make stock or soup, roast a chicken, whip up a stir-fry, cook pasta, or any number of dishes. I love that the skillets can be used as a lid but that a lid is also included – so if you want to keep your skillet dish covered, you can use your carbon skillet to cover your dutch oven. Best of all, the pans clean up wonderfully and come out of the dishwasher looking spotless (which is not always the case with some stainless steel cookware).
The Proclamation skillet has a wide cooking surface (12 inches) for quick and even heating and low, sloping sides for easy access. The skillets are available in classic, lightweight stainless steel or ultra-durable, naturally low-stick carbon steel. I have used the low-stick skillet for eggs, fried potatoes, sauteeing chicken cutlets, grilled cheese sandwiches and more and love the fact that I don’t have to worry about scratching the surface as I do with non-stick cookware – once you do that – the pan has lost its usefulness.
The Proclamation pot is a wok/stockpot hybrid that can handle everything from soup to stir-fry. The pot has a 7-quart capacity which is an ideal size for big jobs but also can handle warming up leftover soup. Made of high-quality stainless steel with aluminum core for excellent heat conduction and distribution, it will last a lifetime (and has a lifetime warranty!). I made a roast chicken in this beauty and was able to remove the chicken and make my gravy right in the pot!
The pans are induction compatible, chemical, and toxic-free, oven and dishwasher safe, lighter than cast iron but sturdy and feel like a quality product. They are naturally low-stick and scratch-resistant. Right now the stainless and stainless Duo set is on sale!
The duo set is a perfect wedding gift, housewarming gift or perfect for those who are downsizing and need cookware that will meet all their needs. Proclamation Goods is offering one US member a Duo set as set out below in our giveaway.
