Author: Aleksandra Crapanzano
About the author: Aleksandra is a screenwriter and food writer. A recipient of The M.F.K. Fisher Award for Distinguished Writing from The James Beard Foundation, she has been widely published in various media. Her first book The London Cookbook is a delicious journey via 100 recipes from top restaurants to hole-in-the-wall eateries.
Our takes you inside this title and features the following
- Orange cardamom shortbread [Na Young Ma]
- Pomegranate couscous [David LeFevre]
- Spicy lamb breast [Bryant Ng]
What’s to love:
- Gorgeous photographs and recipes from some of Los Angeles’ best chefs retrofitted for the home cook and their kitchen.
- It’s a destination cookbook. I am a huge fan of books that highlight the food of a certain region, This title, just as the author’s first title, is a perfect example of food escapism via your own kitchen.
- Not only a cookbook but a guide to the hot spots of Los Angeles including Sqirl, Republique, and Pizzeria Mozza. For those of us who don’t travel as much as we long to, this book is a balm to our wanderlust.
