What’s your fall dessert based on your zodiac sign?

Some days a lighthearted, short read is exactly the distraction you need from your job, kids, spouse, housework, and/or current events. Today’s fix for me comes from Taste of Home. It’s a listing of fall desserts paired with zodiac signs, and it’s silly, fun, and at least in this household, very, very wrong.

The Scorpio in our house is from the South, and uncharacteristically for a Southerner, he despises all things pecan. According to the article, however, pecan pie should be his dessert of choice. That is never going to happen, but it’s okay because that means more pie for me. The Libra here doesn’t care much for caramel apples, although she would enjoy any of the pies.

I’m an Aquarius. Of all the tasty desserts listed here by Taste of Home, pumpkin spice cupcakes are among the last I would choose. I’ve never wanted to be a Virgo before, but I will take their pumpkin cake roll over my cupcakes any day. My biggest takeaway after reading this list is that chocolate isn’t one of the flavors of fall, which is an omission everyone should try to correct.

    I was quite happy with my Cancer selection – Apple Nut Bread Pudding. Pecan pie would be my #1 choice with cupcakes at the bottom.

    Me too Darcie. I am not a cupcake person. Pumpkin spice does not sound good to me at all. Being Feb, you would think citrus or beginning of strawberries.

    Libras always seem to get boring things, perhaps because our zodiac symbol is so boring. Caramel apples are OK, but for dessert? I’d rather have the pecan pie, bread pudding or cheesecake, personally (or a bit of all three!).

    My husband and I are both Sagittarius but I don’t think either one of us would be too excited about the Sparkling Apple Cider Pond Cake. It just looks boring! I’d take pecan pie or a good apple spice cake any day.

    I am a Pisces, and I do enjoy apple crisp. However, Apple nut bread pudding (Cancer), Apple pie (Leo), and Cinnamon apple cheesecake (Taurus) look equally delicious. And I agree with Darcie, chocolate is wonderful everyday, year around.

    As a Taurus, I got apple cinnamon cheesecake. I usually make pumpkin spice cheesecakes in the Fall, but I might try this one next time. I like apples and cinnamon a bit more than pumpkin & pumpkin spice. They were spot on with my suggestion, but I would have enjoyed any of them.

    Well…….this Capricorn has DETESTED pumpkin pie for 53 1/2 years…….and I mean DETESTED.
