Mastering Macarons – Amoretti Gift Card Promotion

There is no denying that French pastries are delicious, but those tasty morsels can be complicated to create for the novice baker.  Amoretti, a California based company devoted to quality ingredients, has put together a kit to make macarons more approachable. I recommended this kit in my gift guide for moms and dads published earlier this week.  The Mastering Macarons gift set consists of:  The kit comes with almost everything you need to start baking macarons. You will also need an appropriately sized pastry tip, pastry bags (those linked are my favorites), parchment paper or a Silpat  and a few pantry ingredients.    The bonus of this kit is the cookbook – Mastering Macarons: Classic to Contemporary Techniques by Colette Christian. The author provides instructions for French, Swiss and Italian meringues, nut-free variations, savory recipes, an assortment of fillings and much more. The step-by-step photographs are perfect for the baker new to macarons and provide reassurance to those who have tinkered before (like myself).  Having made macarons on several occasions in my baking past I can unequivocally state that this book has made the process crystal clear for me. Since receiving the kit, I have whipped up two batches of the treats and must stop myself from spending every free minute making more! Colette’s instructions and the flavorful Amoretti purees have awakened my desire to continue to experiment with methods and flavors all while strengthening my confidence and skill level.  Below are a few photos of my macaron mania results.

My cart at Amoretti is currently filled with an assortment of purees and ingredients. I recommend their fruit purees and almond flour wholeheartedly. Special thanks to Amoretti for providing me with a kit to review as well as offering ten $50 digital gift cards so that our members can master macarons!
