Cookbook Giveaway – Tartine All Day

Tartine All Day: Modern Recipes for the Home Cook by Elisabeth Prueitt, Jessica Washburn and Maria Zizka hit the shelves this month and I did my cookbook happy dance. Tartine’s books are favorites of Eat Your Book members and this cookbook lover as well. Over the years, I have made many recipes and have not experienced a flop. This is how bad I have it for Tartine – if I see one of their books at an incredible price, I have to buy it. Someone I know needs it – they don’t know they need it yet, but they will.

For more information on this cookbook, please see our review and recipe post

We are pleased to offer three copies of this title to our EYB Members in the US. One of the entry options is to answer the following question in the comments section of this blog post:

What recipe in the index would you like to try first?

Please note that you must be logged into the Rafflecopter contest before posting or your entry won’t be counted. If you are not already a Member, you can join at no cost. The contest ends at midnight on May 22nd, 2017

I want the Stuffed Dates. And the Gougères. And just about everything else in this book, to be really honest.

I've cooked from all the Tartine books over the years (oh my loving god, Book 3 was amazing and revelatory), and there hasn't been a lemon in there yet. And that is amazing, considering that this is a restaurant book, which in other hands can be notoriously wrong on so many accounts since the recipes are so often sized down without proper testing. But not Tartine.

I was reading this today at a bookshop and was pondering whether to plunk down $40 for it – not that I'm complaining, as the purchase price more than pays for itself with endless hours of fine eating and information and insights and blissful reading – but it's just that I've bought way more cookbooks this month than is probably considered sane.

However, I want this book. Badly. The gougères at their bakery are sublime, and I must have those dates, and I must find a way to wallow in the intense goodness of this restaurant in the privacy of my own home.

And I will definitely have that inspired Apple Beehive for dessert. By myself. I'm not exaggerating. I'll put some Greek yogurt on the side to make all of this properly healthy. Maybe.

    Nobody lives forever.

Lemon desserts are a personal favorite. I am certain to try the lemon pudding cake! The spicy watercress pesto is intriguing. I often find watercress at the farmers market and a new pesto recipe would be a savory switch from salad.
